FAQ
A – Porcelain, Bonded Resin, Matte Resin, or Hydrostone.
A – Porcelain is fine clay that is kiln fired or air cooled. The extra cost for Porcelain figurines is for the additional time it takes to cure, not the quality of the pieces. In fact, details on Porcelain are varied depending on the manufacturer. Bonded Resin is more dense and heavier than Matte Resin. Details are usually very tight. Hydrostone is a high chip proof, air dried lightweight stoneware. Also highly detailed. All materials are completely safe and almost impossible to tell them apart when finished.
A – The overall size will affect the weight. The weight of each cake top is stated on their specific webpage. Generally, Matte Resin is the lightest. Followed by Porcelain, then Hydrostone and Bonded Resin. All cake tops we offer, including display bases, are designed to be placed on a 5-6” tier cake.
A – Please see our “Bald Section” for cake toppers with bald grooms at this link: https://www.jwcaketops.com/bald-grooms.html
A – We have numerous brides that are wearing strapless gowns in our theme categories. For those gowns that are not strapless, they come as pictured, except for the figurine called “Our Special Day”. The gown is offered strapless for an additional fee of 12.95.
